📋 Eligibility Criteria of BFUHS Ophthalmic Officer Recruitment 2025:

Educational Qualification

To be eligible for the post of Ophthalmic Officer, you must possess:

  1. Passed Senior Secondary Part-II (12th) Examination in Science with Biology as one of the subjects (or its equivalent) from a recognized university or institution.
  2. A diploma of Ophthalmic Assistant from a recognized university or institution.

Note: Your qualification must be completed before the last date of filling the applications.

Age Limit of BFUHS Ophthalmic Officer Recruitment 2025

The age limit is calculated as of January 1, 2025.

  • General Category: 18 to 37 years.
  • Age Relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxed for several categories:
    • SC/BC Candidates: 5 years (up to 42 years).
    • Physically Handicapped: 10 years (up to 47 years).
    • Punjab Govt./State/Central Govt. Employees: Up to 45 years.
    • Widows, Divorcees & Other Women Categories: Up to 42 years.
    • Ex-Servicemen: Allowed to deduct their service period from their actual age. The resultant age must not exceed the maximum age limit by more than 3 years.

💰 Salary and Pay Scale of BFUHS Ophthalmic Officer Recruitment 2025

This is a Group-B post. Selected candidates will be entitled to a salary as per the 7th Pay Commission Convergence, with an initial pay of Rs. 35,400/-.

The selection will be based on a total of 100 marks, split as follows:

  1. Written Examination:90 Marks
    • This exam will be conducted by BFUHS, Faridkot.
    • Crucial Point: Candidates must score a minimum of 33% marks in the written test to be considered eligible for selection.
  2. Experience:10 Marks
    • The marks for experience will be awarded as per Punjab Government letters.

The final selection will be based on the inter-se-merit of the written test and experience marks combined, subject to government reservation policies.

  • Tie-Breaker: If two candidates score equal marks, the candidate who is elder in age will be given preference.
  • No Extra Weightage: Possessing higher qualifications (e.g., a degree instead of a diploma) will not grant any extra weightage or marks.
